A compact Kilimani studio reworked into a vibrant, multi-functional home — living, sleeping, kitchen and bathroom all reconsidered within one open footprint.
A single-room studio in Kilimani needed to work hard — living, sleeping, cooking and a bare, unfinished bathroom all crammed into one open plan, with no sense of zoning or arrival.
We anchored the space with a bold sunburst-papered feature wall, introduced a woven rattan screen to divide sleeping from living without closing off light, layered in warm wood cabinetry and rattan textures throughout, and fully rebuilt the bathroom from the studs — glass shower enclosure, patterned wallpaper, floating shelving and a brushed-gold vessel sink.
A studio that lives far larger than its footprint — characterful, considered and complete, with a bathroom transformation that changed the feel of the entire home.
This project was documented on video by the client — watch the full walkthroughs below rather than static photos.
Every remarkable property deserves spaces that feel as extraordinary as the vision behind them.
